They all wanted to become facilitators for the Coloured Glasses programme in Austria.

The trainers of this Local Launch were Judith Huschauer, Viennese, with a lot of CG experience in Sweden, and Desirée Groffen, from the Netherlands.
Participants started with getting to know each other by doing activities; answering questions about expectations and signing a ‘contract’. So at this point a safe base was made which was important to continue with the rest of the training process. The new facilitators got to know the content of Coloured Glasses through experiencing simulations, like the Circle of Society. The trainers presented that it is important to relate to the learning styles and types in the group, also during CG workshops.
The participants worked on their presentation and public speaking skills during the session about the intercultural theories and giving a short presentation about their best and worse speech. By giving feedback on different aspects of presenting as well, participants learned from different points of views. The participants learned about debriefing on the basis of another Coloured Glasses simulation.
At the end the participants were working to prepare the follow up of the workshops, and planning ideas for implementation of Coloured Glasses in Austria. With the local launch event now YFU Austria has received an enthusiastic group of new facilitators.

This activity was made possible thanks to the funding of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
