European Youth Event - EYE

9 to 11 May 2014

Strasbourg

From 9 to 11 May 2014, the European Youth Forum is organising a European Youth Event (EYE), in which EEE-YFU will be involved. During those days, the European Parliament will open its doors to thousands of young people and invite them to exchange ideas and perspectives for the future of Europe, just ahead of European elections. Within the Strasbourg European Parliament, there will be idea laboratories, political debates, role-play games, concerts and even a street parade.
25 YFU volunteers coming from the ETN and PoR will have a possibility to meet and discuss internal issues as well as join activities prepared by other organisations and get involved in preparations of a forum theatre play on European values - a EEE-YFU activity during the EYE.

The play, titled European values? A Reality Check aims to encourage the public to reflect on the presence of European values in their lives and to find out what happens if those values are suddenly violated. This Forum Theatre play empowers spectators to become spect-actors – the ones who act and have the power to change the course of events.

The Forum Theatre play will be open to all participants of the EYE.
