Exploring migration in Italy

Explore the issues of cultural diversity, migration, and identities with young people from all across Europe and beyond, for 5 days Italy !
3D stands for: Discovery, Diversity and Development. You will Discover new perspectives on migration and identities, while being part of a truly Diverse and international group. We promise a unique exchange, through which you will Develop ideas, friendships and intercultural competences!
The exchange will combine field-visits, workshops, role plays, reflection groups, and entertaining activities:
8 April – arrival day
9 April – team-building and introduction to the topic; movie night
10 April - visit to Genoa with a guide; debriefing
11 April - visit to an association for asylum seekers; role play
12 April - visit to the Migration Museum in Genoa; workshops on migration and stereotypes
13 April - workshops on identities, mobilities, belongings closing party
14 April – departure day
Location: North-Western part of Italy (Genoa and surroundings)
Dates: 8-14 April, 2017
Participants: YFU students and their friends
Arrangements: International travels will be arranged by the organisers; each group will travel from and to its country of current residence with an adult facilitator. Participants themselves are responsible for arranging their transportation to and from the airport in their country of residence and their own health insurance
Participation fee: 450 euros (all costs included)
Organisers: EEE-YFU with the support of YFU Italy
How to apply?
Are you aged 15-18, able to express yourself in English, willing to meet new people and dig into the topic of this exchange?
Are you on exchange in one of the following countries? – Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Estonia, Spain, France, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland.
If yes, apply via the online form. The deadline to apply is 24 February, 2017!
Parents’ Permission will be requested in case of selection, via a specific form.
Spots are limited, so we cannot ensure that all applicants will be accepted.
Participation fees will be collected once the selection of participants is completed.
